The TL;DR
We built this to be a secure, private archival bot. You are responsible for what you save. Do not abuse the API, do not use our service for anything illegal, and respect the Terms of Service of your chosen platform (Discord or Slack). We have the right to block you if you cause issues.
1. The Basics
By installing the Memoria Orbis bot, authenticating via Discord or Slack, or accessing the Memoria Orbis website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, simply remove the app from your platform account and don't log into the web dashboard.
You must be at least the age required by your chat platform (minimum 13 years old, or older depending on your country) to utilize our services.
2. Data & Your Responsibility
Memoria Orbis allows you to save messages, images, and context from supported platforms. You maintain perfect ownership over everything you archive. End-to-end encryption means we couldn't read your vault even if requested.
However, you are entirely responsible for the data you save. Memoria Orbis acts purely as a secure pipeline. You agree not to use Memoria Orbis to:
- Archive or distribute illegal, hazardous, or CSAM material.
- Bypass platform permissions or access content you are not authorized to view.
- Harass, dox, or repeatedly record a user against their expressed wishes.
- Store large volumes of meaningless data simply to waste server resources.
3. Acceptable Use of the Free Tier
Currently, Memoria Orbis is offered free of charge. We provide generous rate limits and storage capabilities. If you attempt to automate inputs, scrape our APIs, intentionally flood the database, or circumvent usage restrictions, your account will be permanently banned and your encrypted vault will be purged.
4. The /public Command
Your vault is private, but the /public command allows you to selectively share memories back into a chat channel. When you use this command, the decrypted contents of that specific memory are exposed to the public chat.
If you use /public to share materials that break your platform's Terms of Service, your platform account is liable for the consequences of posting that embed. Memoria Orbis will not be held responsible for what you choose to decrypt and broadcast.
5. Uptime & Warranties
We maintain a high technical standard, specifically concerning the split-server encryption architecture protecting your data. However, Memoria Orbis is provided "AS IS".
We cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We cannot guarantee that platform updates won't temporarily break our integration. You are highly encouraged to use your Data Export tool regularly. We are not liable for lost, corrupted, or inaccessible data.
6. Account Termination
You may terminate your account at any time via the web dashboard. The moment you click delete, your keys, hashes, and encrypted archive are purged. It cannot be halted, and it cannot be undone.
Similarly, we reserve the right to revoke your access and purge your vault at our sole discretion if we suspect you are violating these Terms of Service or placing the infrastructure at risk.
7. Team Vaults & Collaboration
Memoria Orbis for Teams allows organizations to create shared, encrypted vaults. When you join a Team, you agree that:
- Content saved to a Team Vault is accessible to all members of that Team with appropriate permissions.
- Team Administrators have the right to manage, delete, or export content within their respective Team Vault.
- You are responsible for ensuring that any content you save to a Team Vault complies with your organization's internal policies and these Terms of Service.
8. API Usage & Developer Tools
We provide a Developer API and support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to allow you to interact with your vault programmatically. By using these tools, you agree that:
- You are solely responsible for the security of your API keys. If a key is compromised, you must revoke it immediately via the dashboard.
- You will not use the API to scrape data at a volume that places undue stress on our infrastructure.
- We are not responsible for the actions of any third-party AI models or scripts you connect to your vault.
9. Future Updates
If these terms change, we won't try to hide it. We will announce significant modifications clearly within our support channels or via the bot. Continued use of Memoria Orbis after those changes implies your consent to the new terms.
